Cell culture contamination is a common problem and can cause serious consequences in the lab. For researchers working with cell and tissue cultures, Biological Industries’ Aquaguard™-1 Solution is the only highly active, non-volatile, non-corrosive, and non-toxic treatment for maintaining water quality and preventing contamination in the water pan of a cell culture incubator.

Aquaguard-1 Solution’s antimicrobial and fungicidal properties are effective against a wide range of common lab contaminants, including gram-negative bacteria, yeast, and fungi. Aquaguard-1 Solution has also been validated for use in incubators actively culturing sensitive stem cells. Aquaguard-1 Solution, when used as directed, has been shown to have no effect on the morphology, cell proliferation and expansion, pluripotency marker expression, or karyotype of human pluripotent stem cells.

- Clean incubator water pan and fill with sterile water.

- Add 10 mL of Aquaguard-1 Solution per 1 L of water in the water pan.

- Replace water within water pan and add new Aquaguard-1 Solution every 2 to 4 weeks, as needed.

Note: One bottle of Aquaguard-1 Solution is sufficient for two treatments of a 5-liter water bath.
