Penicillin-Streptomycin-Amphotericin B Solution is an effective antibiotic and antimycotic solution used as a supplement to cell culture media to control contamination. The Penicillin-Streptomycin-Amphotericin B Solution effective against gram positive and gram negative bacteria, fungi, and yeasts.

Penicillin inhibits bacterial cell wall synthesis. Streptomycin inhibits prokaryote protein synthesis. Amphotericin B increases the permeability of fungi cell membranes.
