This two-day course focuses on mammary stem cells. Participants will gain hands-on instruction in the dissection, dissociation, culture, identification and enumeration of human and mouse mammary stem/progenitor cells. Lectures and laboratory sessions are conducted by Dr. John Stingl from STEMCELL Technologies.

Upon completion of the course, participants will have a thorough understanding of mammary stem cell biology and current practices in the field. In addition, participants will learn to overcome challenges involved with key stem and progenitor cell assay procedures and become confident in performing specialized practical mammary techniques in their own laboratory setting.
