Highly fluorescent annexin V conjugates provide quick and reliable detection methods for studying the externalization of phosphatidylserine, one of the earliest indicators of apoptosis. The red-orange—fluorescent Alexa Fluor 568 dye produces conjugates that are considerably brighter than Lissamine rhodamine B and Texas Red-X conjugates, with excitation/emission maxima of ~578/603 nm. |
