Product Specific InformationMA1-014-D650 has been successfully used in ICC/IF applications with human and mouse samples.MA1-014-D650 can be used for immunofluorescence analysis of LIN28 in human iPSCs.Target InformationSOX2 is an intronless gene encoding a member of the SRY-related HMG-box (SOX) family of transcription factors involved in the regulation of embryonic development and in the determination of cell fate. The product of the SOX2 gene is required for stem-cell maintenance in the central nervous system, and also regulates gene expression in the stomach. The SOX2 gene lies within an intron of another gene called SOX2 overlapping transcript (SOX2OT). Further, SOX2 protein may act as a transcriptional activator after forming a protein complex with other proteins. Mutations in the SOX2 gene have been associated with bilateral anophthalmia, a severe form of structural eye malformation, optic nerve hypoplasia and syndromic microphthalmia.For Research Use Only. | SOX2 Antibody (MA1-014-D650) in IFImunofluorescent analysis of SOX2 (red) in Human episomal iPSC cells. The cells were fixed with formalin for 15 minutes, permeabilized with 0.1% Triton X-100 in TBS for 10 minutes, and blocked with 3% Blocker BSA (Product # 37525) for 30 minutes at room temperature. Cells were stained with Dylight 650-conjugated SOX2 monoclonal antibody (right, Product # MA1-014-D650) or Dylight 650-conjugated Mouse IgG1 isotype control antibody (left, Product # MA1-191-D650), at a dilution of 1:50 and incubated for 1 hour at room temperature. Nuclei (both panels, blue) were stained with Hoechst 33342 dye (Product # 62249).
