| Rabbit anti Human UBE2I antibodyrecognizes the ubiquitin conjugating enzyme E2 I, also known as SUMO-1-protein ligase, SUMO-conjugating enzyme UBC9, ubiquitin carrier protein 9, ubiquitin carrier protein Ior ubiquitin conjugating enzyme 9.The modification of proteins with ubiquitin is an important cellular mechanism for targeting abnormal or short-lived proteins for degradation. Ubiquitination involves at least three classes of enzymes: ubiquitin-activating enzymes or E1s, ubiquitin-conjugating enzymes or E2s, and ubiquitin-protein ligases or E3s. UBE2I encodes a member of the E2 ubiquitin-conjugating enzyme family. Four alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding the same protein have been found for UBE2I (provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008).Rabbit anti Human UBE2I antibody detects a band of 17 kDa. The antibody has been extensively validated for western blotting using whole cell lysates. |
