| Rabbit anti Human DARPP-32 antibodyrecognizes the protein phosphatase 1 regulatory subunit 1B also known as dopamine and cAMP-regulated neuronal phosphoprotein 32.The PPP1R1B gene encodes a bifunctional signal transduction molecule. Dopaminergic and glutamatergic receptor stimulation regulates its phosphorylation and function as a kinase or phosphatase inhibitor. As a target for dopamine, PPP1R1B may serve as a therapeutic target for neurologic and psychiatric disorders. Multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for PPP1R1B (provided by RefSeq, Oct 2011).Rabbit anti Human DARPP-32 antibody detects a band of 32 kDa. The antibody has been extensively validated for western blotting using mouse brain tissue lysate. |
